YAC Setup
Top

YAC is a small application that runs on a remote Windows PC (over a LAN or Internet) and permits Call Soft to send messages to that PC. The YAC client or listener sits in your system tray and will show messages in a very unobtrusive manner. YAC was developed by Sun Flower Head Software and can be downloaded free at http://sunflowerhead.com. YAC also works with TiVo systems.

Message to send
To use YAC first define the message you want to send.
You can use the same tags as define in the EMail notifications.

How to send the Message
When you download and install the YAC sofware you have the option to either install the server or client. If you install the server the remote PC's are defined by the server. In this case Call Soft asks the server to send the messages. If you choose the Communicate directly with Yac listeners then you don't need the server. Instead Call Soft will send messages directly to the listeners. The default port is 10629. If you have trouble using YAC check your firewall settings to be sure the connection is not being blocked.
