Speakerphone

·The speakerphone does not work:
Many modems require a separate microphone and speaker in order to use this function. Check your modems documentation for details. If the "Use speakerphone" button is grayed out, your modem driver says it does not support speakerphone. See speakerphone topic for more information.

·Call Soft prematurely disconnects when using the speakerphone or periodically shows a message box asking if I want to stay connected.
This is a safety feature of Call Soft.
When you are using the speakerphone, Call Soft does not know if your really using the phone, it only knows the line is off hook. After about 15 minutes of an off hook state a message box will appear asking if you want to stay connected. If there is no response the call is ended.
If you want to disable this:
Click the Windows Start button and select run.
Type regedit and click OK.
In the left hand pane expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> TOSC International -> CallSoft -> Settings then click on Default. In the right hand pane, highlight the key named CheckLineHang. It's value is probably 1800, in any case this is the number of seconds between displaying the message box when off hook. To disable, right click on CheckLineHang and select Modify change the value to 0 and close the regedit window.
