If your having trouble receiving a fax, check your COM port and initialization settings. See fax setup for more information.
How to receive a fax:
| Call Soft should automatically detect fax calls assuming you have this option turned ON. If this fails to happen, make sure the "Detect fax automatically" is checked on the fax tab in setup. If Call Soft fails to detect faxes, try using only wave files for greetings, or you can manually receive a fax by clicking the "Is a fax call" button while Call Soft is playing a greeting or recording a message.

| To make Call Soft manually receive a fax for example, while a call is in progress, create a speed dial button, label it Receive Fax, and set the number to RXFAX. When pressed, Call Soft will immediately begin receiving the fax. You can also enter this in the direct dial box on the dialer tab.

| When a fax is detected the "Is a fax call" will become disabled, and you will see the fax receiving status at the bottom of the messenger window (see below). Receiving a fax will display this window.

| After a fax is received, it is shown in the incoming call history list with an icon as shown below. To see the fax, right click on it and select "View".

| If you get an error sending or receiving a fax, make sure you have the proper COM port specified. See fax setup for more information.
