·This mailbox can accept faxes:
If you want this mailbox to accept faxes turn this option ON. If OFF Call Soft will assume every call is a voice call.
·I want to hear the greeting being played:
If ON you will hear greeting being played through your computer's speakers.
Use the clip0171 button if you want to hear an alternative sound. This is typically used to announce a caller's entry into a mailbox that might have some significance.
·I want to hear the caller leaving a message:
If ON you will hear the caller leaving a message.
·Only log callers if they leave a message:
If ON only callers that left message will appear in the incoming call list all others will be removed.
·Reject all tones:
If ON all tone a caller might send will be ignored.
·Echo Tones:
If ON every time the caller presses a key (tone) Call Soft will tell the caller what key they presses.
·Ignore disconnects during greeting:
When Call Soft plays a greeting it's possible your modem may interpret part of the greeting as a dial tone and hang up. This does not happen with every modem. Although this option is checked by default you should only check it if Call Soft does hang up while playing a greeting. You should also NOT check this option if your greetings are long i.e. 15 seconds or more. Since it's likely many callers may hang up during such a long greeting Call Soft will be ignoring real hang up events coming from the modem.
·Process tones delay:
This is the amount of time in milliseconds (1000 milliseconds equals 1 second) to wait before processing the callers tones. For example when the caller presses 1 then Call Soft will wait this period of time before looking for a match i.e. go to another mailbox process remote access feature etc. This is necessary to eliminate conflicts with the tones the caller sends. For example say your check messages key is 123 and to turn your speakerphone on is 1. If there was not a delay you could never check your messages because every time you pressed 1 your speakerphone would be turned ON, with the delay Call Soft will wait before looking for a match thus giving you time to enter more tones. The default value is 1000.
