Main Menu  
·File  
Backup/Restore  
Click this to run Call Soft's backup/restore tool.  
 
·View  
Button Labels  
Click this to show or hide the text associated with a button on Call Soft's main window.  
Flat Buttons  
Click this to make the button on Call Soft's main window appear flat e.g no border. Uncheck this to make them appear as classic buttons.  
 
·Skins  
Use Skins  
Select this if you want to add a different look to Call Soft's main window.  
Choose Skin  
Select this to choose the skin to use. There are several skins to choose from and you can also create your own by downloading the skin editor from our Web site. www.mycallsoft.com/callsoft/download.html  
 
·New Message Label  
Select this to change the font of the New Messages button.

·Pending Notifications  
Select this to view any notifications that have not been sent. Notifications can be put into the pending queue when a mailbox attempts to send a notification during a time when it's notifications are not active. Call Soft will send the notifications when the mailbox notification active times become active.  
 
·Debug Window  
Select this to show the debug window. See debug mode for details.  
 
·Status Bar  
·Alignment  
Top  
Check this to make the status bar appear above the tab controls on Call Soft's main window.  
Bottom  
Check this to make the status bar appear below the tab controls on Call Soft's main window.  
Font  
Click this to specify the font used in the status bar.  
 
·Modem  
Connect  
Click this to connect or disconnect from the modem. This is equivalent to clicking the Connect button.  
Use Speakerphone  
If your modems does not support speakerphone this option will not be enabled. If it does support speakerphone check this item to enable the speakerphone. If you are having problems with your speakerphone see troubleshooting.  
 
·Options  
Call Soft Pro  
Click this to access Call Soft main settings.  
Hold Button  
Define what you want the caller to hear when you put them on hold.  
Listen To New Messages.  
Choose this to hear any new message in the highlighted mailbox.  
Don't Answer.  
Choose this to prevent Call Soft from answering. This is useful if you don't want Call Soft to answer the phone for a short period of time. When on you will see scrolling text in the far right status label box.  
Record Call  
Choose this to record a conversation. See recording conversation for more information.  
Family Message  
This button will allow you to record a message and it will be placed into the incoming call history list just like a received call. This allows you to leave a message for someone to be heard when they get home. The message is assigned to the main mailbox.  
Restart as service  
Select this to restart Call Soft as a service. For details on running Call Soft as a service click here.  
 
 
Buttons  
 
clip0090 Click this to hear any new message in the highlighted mailbox.  
 
Connected  
This button connects Call Soft to your modem. When in a connected state the button will appear depressed.  
 
Answer  
This button answers an incoming call. You typically would only use this button if your intent is to use the speakerphone. This button is also enabled when Call Soft is listening for incoming calls because pressing it will take the phone "off hook" and allow you to either dial a number manually via the dialer tab or join an existing conversation.  
 
Take Message  
This button will become enabled when the phone begins to ring. Click it to immediately take a message.  
 
Block  
This button only appears when the phone is ringing. Clicking it will make the caller believe they have reached a disconnected number.  
 
Flash  
This button will become enabled when a call becomes connected. Click it to answer or access another line. It's equivalent to clicking the hook switch on your telephone.  
 
Hold  
Click this button to put caller on hold. You can choose to have the caller listen to sound/music or hear text see hold setup for more information.  
 
SpkPhone  
Turns the speakerphone ON and OFF. When ON the button appears down. See speakerphone for more information.  
 
Volume  
Click this button to adjust your Speakerphone's volume and microphone gain.
