Notification tab

The notification tab defines how or if you want to be notified of calls assigned to this mailbox.  
 
To access the mailbox properties dialog right click on any mailbox, in the mailbox tree view, and select "Properties" then click the notification tab.

·Disable notifications for now.  
This is provided as simple way for you to manually disable all notification. Checking it will not effect any of the settings defined on the method tab.  
 
Calls to notify you about  
·I want to be notified regardless of who called.  
Will notify you of all calls regardless of who called. One exception is If the caller is in the phone book and you have it set to never notify you. In this case you will not be notified.  
·Only notify me if the caller is in my phone book and "notify me" is ON.  
Will only notify you if the caller is in your phone book and the phonebook option "notify me" is ON.  
 
Abort the notification if.  
Check this button if you want to abort notification in the event one of these scenarios occurs.  
 
·The caller did not leave a message.  
If the caller hung up during the greeting and no message was taken then don't notify me.  
·The call was a fax.  
If the call was a fax don't notify me of the call.  
·The call was a voice call.  
If the call was voice then don't notify me of the calls.  
 
Times Tab
This is where you set the times when it's OK to notify you. This is done using time schedules. Most people will use a weekly time schedule where you set the active times on a weekly bases but you can also add times for specific dates or range of dates such as holidays.

Note: Notifications that are blocked from being sent because the time was not within the active time window of the mailbox will be queued and sent as soon as the mailboxes active time does becomes active. These pending notifications will appear in the Pending Notifications Window.

Method Tab
Specify how you want to be notified.  
There are three remote notification methods and one local.

Local Notification
Used to notify you when your close to your PC.
 
If there are new messages play/say this until I acknowledge  
When enabled this option will play or say something, through your computer's speakers, when there are unheard messages in the mailbox. Click the messages button to define what you want to play or say. Set the number of minutes you want the message repeated. To temporarily stop audio notification, right click on this mailbox from Call Soft's main window and select the option "Stop Audio Notification". This will stop audio notification but will be start again upon getting the next message.  
 
Remote Notification
Used to notify you when your away from your PC.
To enable remote notification check the "Enable Remote Notifications" option then choose one or more of the methods.  
 
Yes notify me of calls using my pager or phone.  
Indicates you want to be paged or called.  
Your pager or phone number to call.  
Your pager or another phone number you want called in order to notify you of a new message. If the number is to a pager you can enter more than 1 number by separating them with a semicolon ;  
The above number is to?  
Call Soft needs to know this so it knows whether or not to hangup after dialing.  
·Another phone.  
If checked Call Soft knows not to hang up after dialing but instead get ready to play your message(s). If you enable the "Play the message after dialing" option Call Soft will begin playing your messages. If this option is not checked you will hear Call Soft identify himself but will wait for you to hit a key before playing your messages.  
·Send these numbers at the end of the page.  
If 713-555-1212 calls and you have 88 entered here 713-555-121288 will be sent to your pager. This tells you the page came from Call Soft and not directly from 713-555-1212.  
·Yes notify me of calls via E-mail.  
Turn this on to be notified via E-mail. Click the Setup button for Email setup.  
 
Yes notify me of calls via E-mail

Use Yac  
Select the to send a YAC message to a remote PC. For more information see YAC Setup.  
 
Yes notify people using my local network  
This will send an instant message to a workgroup or individual computers. Click the setup button to define the message and the people to send it to.

The default message is:  
<date> <time>  
Call notification for mailbox <mailbox>  
<name> called from <number>  
<result>  
 
The text in brackets <> are tags and will be replaced with information pertaining to the call.  
 
·<date> will be replaced with the date of the call. The format of the date is defined by the system long date. You can modify these settings by double clicking the regional options icon in Control Panel.  
·<time> will be replaced with the time of the call. The format of the time is defined by the system long time. You can modify these settings by double clicking the regional options icon in Control Panel.  
·<mailbox> will be replaced with the mailbox name responsible for sending the message.  
·<name> will be replaced with the caller's name.  
·<number> will be replaced with the caller's number  
·<result> is replaced with details about the call such as took a message or did not take a message. If a message was taken <result> will include the message length in seconds.
