| Greeting Tab. For more information on recording your greeting click here.
| The greeting tab is where you define what a caller will hear when they enter a mailbox and what to do after they hear the greeting.
| · | Greeting to play or say:
| This is the greeting the caller will hear when they access this mailbox. You can use either a wave file or text if you want the message spoken. To create a new greeting click the new button and select either wave or text. If you want to use an existing file click the browse button. If you want to edit the current message (wave or text) click the edit button. Note: If you want to use speech to say the message you can simply type the message here instead of creating a text file. See recording a greeting for more information.
| · | After playing greeting wait:
| This is the amount of time you want to wait before doing the next step for example take message etc.
| · | Post greeting options
| Take message:
| Will play a beep and begin recording after waiting N seconds.
| Wait for caller input:
| Will wait for the caller to go to another mailbox or access one of the remote access options. If the caller does not respond within N seconds after playing the greeting the message will be played again up to 2 times. If the caller still has not responded Call Soft will hang up.
| Dial something:
| Will simply send tones to the modem. Use this to access features of your particular phone system, like call forward etc. You can use these characters in the dialing string for special processing.
| ! flash the line.
| , pause 1 second.
| . Hangup.
| For example say #32 followed by a number forwards your calls to that number.
| #32,,7135551212.
| This will dial #32 wait 2 seconds then dial 7135551212 and hang up.
| This is used mainly for call Forwarding and Transferring
| Hangup:
| Will hangup after waiting N seconds.
| Gather caller's digits and page/Email them to me (requires speech):
| You create a greeting asking the caller to enter some digits (keys on their phone). You can tell the caller to enter the # key when finished or just wait. Call Soft will verify the numbers entered with the caller. When finished the digits the caller entered will be sent to your pager or Emailed to you. To have the numbers sent to your pager make sure you have pager notification turned on. If you want the numbers Emailed to you make sure you include the <digits> tag in either the subject and/or body of the Email (see Email setup for more information).
| Send fax to caller (fax on demand):
| This option allows your callers to enter their fax number then have Call Soft send a fax to them. The greeting is used to ask the caller to enter their fax number including their area code and the * key to abort (see sample below). After the caller has entered 10 digits (area code and number) Call Soft will verify the number with the caller before continuing only if you have speech enabled. If you don't have speech enabled Call Soft cannot verify the number and will assume the caller entered it correctly. If you live outside the US where the 10 digit requirement is different contact callsoft@mycallsoft.com for instructions on how to change it. To specify the fax files go to the Fax Files tab next to the security tab. On this tab you specify the fax file(s) you want sent. See Fax File tab below.
| Your greeting should say something like: "Enter the number, including the area code, where you want your fax sent. Press the star key at any time to abort."
| Note: Call Soft will not allow callers to enter 911 or 9110000000 as their fax number for obvious reasons.
| Forward the call using my 3 way calling feature:
| See forwarding the call for more information.
| Go to this mailbox:
| Will go to the mailbox specified after waiting N seconds.
| Start receiving fax:
| This will cause Call Soft to immediately go into receive fax mode. It's equivalent to clicking the Is Fax button.
