The Edit Text Window

The Edit Text Window is used to edit text to be spoken using Call Soft's TTS capabilities.
The window is used in several instances for example when you define a TTS greeting, ring sound, audio notifications, or to announce callers.

In most cases you have the option to insert speech tags in your text. These speech tags are replaces with information about a call at run time. To see a list of tags you can use click the "Show tags" button. To use the tags simply enter the tag name into your text or drag and drop them from the list into the edit portion of the window.

Call Soft has a unique capability to talk and play wave files in series. For example you can speak then play a wave file speak again etc. You can also insert text files that will, of course, be spoken. This is done by adding a ++ in between the text and the file.
For example:
"hello this is speech ++ c:\mysounds\MyWaveFile.wav ++ and that was a wave file".
"hello this is speech ++ c:\mysounds\MyTextFile.text ++ and that was an imbedded text file".

If you want to insert a file click the clip0160 button and select the wave or text file you want to insert.

Click the default button to use the default text defined by the author of Call Soft.
